En route means “on the way”, somewhere between the initial act of moving and arriving somewhere, which is the essence of the installation. The listener is allowed to experience the musical composition at their own pace, and take as much time as they like, while moving freely in this virtual landscape. Every sound in the installation keeps its exact position in space, by moving through that space the composition can be heard fully. The movement of the listener becomes a vital part of the composition and is being documented in the drawing made by a pen plottter, following the path of the listener inside the space. It should feel like experiencing a sculpture, painting, architecture, or landscape in an auditive form.
